We offer two types of studios for artists; longer-term studios based in our buildings in Leeds and shorter-term temporary studios which are available nationwide.

Located just outside Leeds City Centre, Barkston House is one of East Street Arts’ permanent spaces. It offers a base for many artists working in a variety of different disciplines.
Unit 61, H1 is part of an open-plan shared studio, and will work well for messy practices as well as clean practices. It is a reasonably large space for an independent practitioner and is a light space, window-lit from opposite the entrance.

With large windows throughout, the 2nd Floor of Carr-Ellison House is a workspace suited to individual practices and those who may need space to experiment.

With a large open floor space, and windows surrounding, the 3rd Floor of Carr-Ellison House could be well suited to theatre or performance art groups requiring rehearsal space, or other organisations that might need a larger space in which to work.

This is a series of units located in the Broadwalk Shopping Centre located just off a main shopping street. Containing a mix of different-sized light spaces, this is a series of units previously used as office spaces. It houses a range of different spaces, that could lend themselves to exhibitions, organisations and studio spaces.

This is a large former Marks & Spencer store located in the Pyramids Shopping Centre with multiple entrances. It houses a range of different spaces, that could lend themselves to exhibitions, organisations and studio spaces.
This temporary space is to be occupied on a monthly rolling contract, with the potential to be given 30 days notice to vacate.
A former mixed-use retail and office space located in the Beacons Centre with a series of different rooms available to use. Most areas would are carpeted, so would be more appropriate for clean practices. The entrance is located behind a glass front looking out into the shopping centre, which could function as an exhibition space.
