The Climate Residency Artist Call Out

Apply now! East Street Arts are looking for an early careers artist to undertake research as part of The Climate Residency.

Developed as part of East Street Arts’ ongoing commitment to exploring climate change and sustainability, The Climate Residency is designed for an early careers artist to take on creative research and thinking around how climate issues affect the Mabgate, Lincoln Green and Burmantofts area of Leeds.

Taking place over 2.5 weeks, the commission is for an artist in the early stages of their career to undertake research and development. Early career doesn’t mean you have to be a recent graduate or a young artist, just someone who feels they are in the beginning of their work as an artist. Through the residency you will learn about working with communities and how to present your research and ideas creatively, and you will also be given access to a studio space, accommodation on site and access to work spaces. You will be supported by the Programme Team and our dedicated Convention House technician.
