East Street Arts occupies six units on the building’s third floor. It’s home to a wonderful community of artists creating a dynamic and thriving hub of creative activity home to 40 studio spaces and a dedicated ceramics facility.
What makes these studios so unique is the vibrant and supportive community of artists and creative practitioners who work there. Barkston House is a space for creatives of all disciplines, abilities and backgrounds to develop work and build relationships.

Barkston House is located in Holbeck, an easy 10 minute drive from the city centre or 20 minute bus ride from Leeds bus station. Situated on the edge of Holbeck Urban Village, Barkston House is also easily accessible from the motorway (M621).
