The project aims to encourage independent businesses, artists and performers to cluster along the route linking the development of the transport hub and the Waterdale area. Not only will the route be a place for independent creative businesses and communities to flourish, it will also be a destination for citizens of Doncaster to visit and engage with a lively programme of activities, hospitality and entertainment offers.
The mixed use development of workspace, entertainment, hospitality, retail and residential seeks to encourage new uses for the citizens of Doncaster in the prime location of their town centre. In addition, the Council also plans to improve the street scene by illuminating buildings, commissioning public art and creating new green spaces.
Our role will see us deliver a skills development programme with creatives native to Doncaster, produce plans for public realm works along the Future High Streets route and work with local asset owners to source creative opportunities for underused properties.
Our role in Doncaster continues into early 2021.
